Day one of our trip is all about spinning the legs. After our guests arrive into Geneva Airport in the morning, we transfer them to our chalet high in the Tarentaise Valley, supply a light lunch, and head out for an easy spin to get the legs moving again.
Our route takes us immediately down a 9km descent from the chalet, down to Bourg St Maurice, before we climb back up to the Ski Resort of Les Arcs 1800m, and then back to our chalet which sits at 1500m in Peisey Nancroix.
Day two of the Alpine Escape is all about the Pink Road, and crossing into Italy. A now infamous strip of road, on the side road to La Rosiere, via Montvalezen. This is the shorter, steeper way to climb the Col du Petit St Bernard.
After we climb its steep slopes, we ride over the border into Italy at the summit of the Petit St Bernard, and drop down into the town of La Thuile for coffee and lunch. After a freshly made panini and several espressos (for one guest), we climb back up the Italian side of the Petit St Bernard, and descend the full 35km length of the climb back to Bourg St Maurice.
A final coffee at Pause Coffee, and we start the 9km climb back up to our chalet for a three course dinner.
"Everything about this trip was perfect - planned to absolute perfection."
