With the changeable weather we have had here on the Isle of Man this kit bought for winter has already had early morning damp use. It is awesome.
It is very good fitting
It just might be, good news foe Band of Climbers is if it's not this jacket then it's the ThermoAscent so win/win for them.
This is a seriously great piece of kit, as soon as you take it out the packaging you can tell. Looks good, feels good. I went for the large which is the same as the other jerseys I'd purchased previously (both short sleeve and ThermoAscent) and it's a perfect fit. I'm 5'10 and weigh around 80 kg, so not bug but not a racing snake either (it would be nice but I like post ride cake and beer). When recommending this to anyone I described the fit as race fit and they purchased their size based on that which seemed to work.
Have worn this up Kirkstone Pass on a wet day and it did the job, on a longer dull day in Scotland it was equally up to the task and the two front vents were particularly useful when the weather turned out to be just a little warmer than I'd suspected.
Have recommended this to many folk as a wet weather option (or Spring weather as we call it in Scotland), it feels great when in the bike and the additional tail flap is a welcome addition benefit. Do ge aware the back pockets are ventilated so bag anything in them on wet, mucky rides or you may find some grit gets through. It's a minor inconvenience if you're not aware and easily avoided if you are. Not anything I'd mark the top down for.
Seems really thick, won’t wear it until next winter.
Excellent quality garment, sun’s returned since I’ve purchased this so can’t comment on effectiveness yet, looking forward to the bad weather returning! Very swift service from BoC and good price with the discount code, I’m comparing this to the Gabba which I use a lot..
