Stage 2 of the 2017 Tour de France was a wet and windy affair. It was so wet that it nearly ended the hopes of eventual winner Chris Froome, and France's main hope for the GC, Romain Bardet, as a crash just 30km from the line nearly ended their challenges.
The image of the crash was captured by Band of Climbers collaborator and pro cycling photographer Chris Auld, who was perfectly placed to capture what was possibly THE image of the entire three week tour. Almost every media outlet in the world showed the image of Froome and Bardet in distress as they slid towards a possible exit from the Tour.
We can now give you the opportunity to own this moment in cycling history, thanks to Chris Auld, with an A3 print. Size 420mm x 297mm
