On Saturday 4th May Ride with Band of Climbers and J.Guillem Titanium Bicycles over 100km of Northumberland's finest hills.
Starting and ending at Backyard Bike Shop directly under the iconic Tyne Bridge, we'll ride out through the Tyne Valley into 'lumpy country'. Heading to Corbridge, we'll then turn south and take on Prospect Hill, before climbing up above Derwent Reservoir and into Blanchland. We'll return to the Tyne Valley but not before taking on Hedley on the Hill, and then roll back into Backyard for coffees and snacks.
Titanium Bike Brand J.Guillem will be supporting the ride and will have test bikes available to ride on the day. Email us at hello@bandofclimbers if you would like to try one of their bikes on the day.
The ride will be circa 100km with 1600m of climbing. Average speed should be somewhere in the region of 16mph depending on the speed of the group.
We're limiting places to 45. So to secure your free place - grab a ticket HERE
Please wear a helmet, and remember to take the usual inner tube/pump/tools as the ride is unsupported.
