The X-Lite Wind Gilet

An all-new, super light, wind-resistant essential gilet from Band of Climbers. Weighing under 65g (Size M), the X-Lite Wind Gilet is extremely light, packable and offers incredible performance for such a lightweight garment.

Produced with a two piece body construction to minimize weight, the X-Lite Gilet utilises a windproof front body fabric, with a super light and breathable mesh rear fabric. The benefit of a mesh rear is to allow heat to escape the body to better regulate the core temperature when training.

The X-Lite can be packed into any rear pocket, bar bag, or even a ride wallet, it packs down that small. An essential for any ride, the X-Lite will save you from the cold air on a descent or add an extra layer of protection whenever the wind turns against you.

The X-Lite Gilet is true to the size guide and offers a flexible fit due to the stretch in the grippers and rear mesh fabric. Follow the same sizing as our short sleeve jerseys to pair this perfectly some summer or winter.

Where’s the 2-way zip!?

2 years ago a bought one of your light wind gilets. It’s still one of my favourite items. It has a 2-way zip which has become a much appreciated feature on any outer layer I buy now.
I wanted another to match some different kit and presumed it was the same/similar. Sure, it maybe my fault for not checking but why would you remove this amazing feature? It should be standard. Very disappointed and I didn’t realise until I was wearing on a ride so I cannot return it. To add to this the zip was actually pretty sticky and proved impossible to undo all the way without stopping as it gets stuck easily. It also flaps a little at the shoulders which the previous one didn’t and even though they’re the same size, the fit is different.
Otherwise the gilet is ‘fine’ it’s small, light and looks nice. It just doesn’t stand out the way BoC products should IMO.
