Chalet Cairn is a Luxury Alpine retreat right at the entrance to the Vanoise National Park, in a small village called Nancroix resting at almost 1500m. It's the perfect place to relax after a day in the saddle.
Featuring a huge open-plan living and dining space and adjoining balcony, the room offers superb views of the mountains on three sides, and captures the sun all day long. The chalet has its own relaxation room with an indoor sauna, outdoor garden terrace and hot tub with the most phenomenal views.
After arriving back at the chalet at the end of each ride, you're free to relax anywhere you choose. The chalet has en suites in every bedroom, free wifi and UK TV channels, so you can catch up on the days bike racing during Le Tour or the day's news.
The chalet also features indoor, secure bike parking so you know your bike is safe with us. While off the bike, we can also wash and dry any clothing or cycling kit ready for the next ride.
Being 1500m high in the Alps, the Chalet is a million miles away from our busy lives in the city. It's a typically French mountain village, and being so high up, the views of the stars at night are simply stunning.
However, being so high up doesn't mean you have to ride the 9km climb to the chalet after each ride. You can if you want to, however we usually end the rides at the foot of the climb, and transport you in the van, up through the switchback filled forest roads which open up to stunning views near the summit.
The benefit of being so high up is that every ride also starts with a 9km descent, which is great for boosting average ride speeds!
